Happy V Editorial Guidelines

At Happy V, we believe knowledge is power, and that every woman deserves access to clear, accurate, and judgment-free information about her health. Our editorial team knows that readers may seek out the content on our blog to make more informed decisions about their bodies and their wellness, and we take that role very seriously.

Editorial Independence &
Product Integration

Though Happy V does make and sell supplements, our editorial and scientific writing teams work independently.

Our content is created to answer real questions and solve real problems. We cover based on what readers need to know, not what we need to sell, and any Happy V product integrations must follow strict guidelines.

How we integrate Happy V products:

Happy V products can only be mentioned in a piece of editorial content if they are genuinely relevant to the science we're discussing. If they aren't, we leave them out.
Any mention of Happy V products is preceded by general research and education around the ingredients themselves, and any claims made must include a link to the appropriate article or clinical study supporting those claims.
Our priority is education first, product integration second. We never compromise editorial integrity to promote a product, even our own.

Our Process

If you see a piece of content on the Happy V blog, you can trust that it was created using a structured process that helps ensure accuracy, empathy, and clarity.

Step 1

Research & Sourcing

Reader trust is key. At Happy V, we only pull research and data from peer-reviewed journals, clinical studies, and government/institutional data (NIH, CDC, WHO). We prioritize primary sources and interpret scientific findings responsibly and within context.

Step 2

Expert Review

Any article must be reviewed by one of our team of medical and scientific reviewers, which includes registered dietitians, microbiologists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure it accurately reflects current research and clinical best practices.

Step 3

Editing & Fact-Checking

Once fact-checked, every article is edited for tone, clarity, inclusivity, and readability, so the information is as digestible and actionable as possible. Then, before we hit ‘Publish,’ we verify all data, claims, links, and citations one last time.

Step 4

Updates

We regularly review and update articles to reflect new research and medical guidelines. All content includes "Last reviewed" or "Last updated" dates so you can see the work we’ve done.

Our Voice & Inclusion

While we want to destigmatize conversations around vaginal and gut health, we understand that these topics will always feel deeply personal and often sensitive. That’s why we strive to make sure our voice is always:

Empowering:

Focused on solutions and real understanding

Inclusive:

Respectful of all identities, cultures, and lived experiences

Accessible:

Plain language, no unnecessary jargon

Empathetic:

No shame, no judgment

Our Promise

We don’t just want to share health information, but fundamentally reshape the conversation around women's wellness. To do this, we promise to keep our content accurate, empathetic, transparent, and independent.

We know that when women have access to trusted information, they're empowered to make confident, informed choices about their health, and that knowledge is the foundation of everything we do.
